This was one of my first paid newborn sessions in spring 2024, and I was excited to bring the family’s vision to life. They loved the color teal and wanted to include grandma’s quilt, and I found some multi-colored baby’s breath at Trader Joe’s that fit perfectly. I worked right in the nursery with my simple fill lighting and captured these moments. This session really confirmed how much I enjoy newborn and milestone photography and capturing these fleeting moments for growing families!

My two daughters Hailee and Savanna. They are my everything! We are so blessed!
The details: I captured this photo on my bed using a combination of natural window light with an additional fill light I placed at a 45 degree angle from their faces (the Rembrandt lighting effect). I've experimented with lighting all over my home and this combination is my favorite for lighting indoor photos, which gives that light and airy feeling. Give me a window and my fill light and we can make some magic!
